Chairman: Martha Bryant, Martha.Travel@comcast.net

     The FCRP Chairman is the Chief Executive Officer of the FCRP. As such, the Chairman presides at all FCRP meetings and events, and is responsible for the general direction of the party.

 

Occupations:  Former Teacher, YMCA Director, and Owner of a Travel Agency

Hobbies:  Traveling, reading, playing with my grandchildren and my three dachshunds

Favorite Leader:  President Ronald Reagan

How long have you been a Republican?  "Since I was 21. Up till then I had always thought I was a Democrat until I heard a Democratic leader talk and I thought 'that is not what I believe!' So, I became a Republican back when Republican wasn't cool."

First involvement in a GOP campaign:  "My husband ran for the school board as a Republican and won. I supported him from the sidelines. When he passed away, I ran for county commission [in 2002] and lost. But, I was bitten by the political bug. I have since had a lot of fun working for Republican candidates and the Republican Party."

 

First Vice Chairman: Tom Saltino, Saltino9529@comcast.net

     The FCRP First Vice Chairman serves as the Parliamentarian and Program Director for the FCRP. As such, the First shall see to it that all meetings are ran properly, and establish and implement programs for the monthly meetings of the FCRP.

     The FCRP Second Vice Chairman serves as the Fundraising Coordinator for the FCRP. As such, the Second shall see to it that the FCRP obtains adequate funding.

Occupations:  Administrator for the Floyd County Water Department, law enforcement

Hobbies:  Martial arts, fishing, camping, anything outdoors

     The FCRP Third Vice Chairman serves as Publicity Coordinator for the FCRP. As such, the Third shall oversee the communication to the media, candidates, and membership.

Fourth Vice Chairman:  Ansley Briley Saville, AnSaville@aol.com

     The FCRP Fourth Vice Chairman serves as the Membership and Special Events Coordinator for the FCRP. As such, the Fourth shall oversee membership recruitment and any special events that will benefit the FCRP or the community.

     The FCRP Secretary serves as the Property Custodian for the FCRP. As such, the Secretary shall oversee membership lists and all properties owned by the FCRP.

Recording Secretary (Ex-Officio Member Appointed by the Chair):  Sallie Peebles, peebless@comcast.net

     The FCRP Recording Secretary, an ex-officio member that is appointed by the chair, serves as the Recording Secretary for the FCRP. As such, the Recording Secretary shall record all minutes of all meeting held by the FCRP.

     The FCRP Treasurer serves as the Financial Custodian for the FCRP. As such, the Treasurer shall oversee all financial decisions and actions made by the FCRP.

Governing Bodies

 

     The FCRP has two standing permanent committees, the Floyd County Republican Party County Committee and the Floyd County Republican Party Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is comprised of all officials listed above. The County Committee is made up of the Executive Committee, any officer or committee member of the national, state or district committee, all Republican elected office holders, and the immediate past chair (for one year after the expiration of his term). The Executive Committee meets every third Wednesday of the month and the County Committee meets once a year, at the call of the Chairman.
